Manchester, NH – It was just another Sunday for accountant, Jason Manning, as he made his way to Stop & Shop to get groceries for the week. After parking in the busy parking lot, the Iowa native got inside and went straight for the carts. He pulled one out from the stack and headed for the fruit aisle. As he made his way down the aisle, he noticed something that was different.
“I couldn’t believe it,” he told us. “The cart worked perfectly. The wheels faced the right direction the whole time and everything just worked perfectly. Manning went on to tell us that everyone he passed by stared at him in shock. While everyone else had trouble with their carts, they all watched him with jealously.
Daryl Franklin, the store manager, said he has never seen one of his carts work. “I’ve been here over 20 years now and this was the first time I’ve seen anything like this.” Franklin started. “I immediately called the local news station and they were down here in no time. It’s great press for the store and I think it’s going to attract a lot of new customers.” Franklin told us there haven’t been new carts in that store in almost a decade and that this cart must’ve been some kind of miracle. If the news story brings in enough money, there be some new carts in the store’s future. However, Franklin doesn’t believe any of those will work either.
