Boston, MA – A young entrepreneur managed to pull off something that a lot of people are wishing they had thought of before him. Greg Simpson, a recent graduate of Emerson College, was having a hard time finding a job after graduating this May, so he decided he would start his own website. With a degree in Graphic Design, a minor in Marketing, and a class on web design in college, the Connecticut native started his own crowdfunding site. He did so by raising money on the most popular crowdfunding website, Kickstarter.

“I have no idea how I pulled it off,” Simpson told us. “I spent weeks trying to think of an original idea, and I came up with nothing.” The recent graduate saw a lot of his artistic friends using Kickstarter to record an album or film a movie, so he decided to somewhat use a degree and make a website.

“It started off as a joke,” Simpson started. “While eating dinner one night, my parents asked me what my plan was. As I joke, I told them I was going to use Kickstarter to raise money for my own crowdfunding website. Now I make more money than both of them.

Kickstarter has managed to make it so nobody else can follow in Simpson’s footsteps, but his website is better than ever right now.
