Tokyo, JP – Following unprecedented profits from a first quarter surge in 2020, the pornographic video sharing company Pornhub has announced plans for a new building in Tokyo. Since the start of the pandemic, pornographic websites have seen a massive increase in viewership, as people are spending more time at home. Pornhub even offers free premium memberships to people who are on lockdown due to the pandemic. Although they are not making money from memberships at this time, their ad revenue and stocks have brought them to the point where they can open some new real estate.
The private company, founded in May of 2007, already had locations in Montreal, Canada and Limassol, Cyprus.
“The Japanese market is booming these days,” Richard Stiffman told us. The Vice President of Content visited the The Land of the Rising Sun last summer to learn more about the virtual reality introduction to the billion dollar industry. “I knew we had to bring this new technology to our fan base.”
The skyscraper, standing at just under 1,000 feet, will be finished by the end of the month. “We are, of course, eager to open our doors and get the office up and running,” Stiffman commented. “But with everything going on in the world, we are taking the right precautions.
