Hollywood, CA – Acting is one of those careers where people never really retire. Robert Duvall just made history for being the oldest person to be nominated for Best Supporting Actor. The San Diego native just co-starred opposite Robert Downey Jr. in ‘The Judge.’ Bruce Dern and June Squibb were both nominated for their roles in Alexander Payne’s Nebraska at the ages of 76 and 84. While age might not affect these actors’ talent, it can affect them in other ways.

Yesterday, while filming a scene for Red 3, the leads in the film were mistaken for retirement home residents, and were ushered onto a bus back to Shady Glenn’s Home just outside of the city. They were filming the scene in a parking lot of a grocery store, where a group of elderly people had just came from, getting their prune juice and suckers for the week.

The employees of the home somehow didn’t recognize Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, John Malkovich, and Helen Mirren. “When old people get together in a big group, they all look the same,” Rachel Hampton told us. Hampton is one of the caretakers at the home. “I didn’t believe them when they said they weren’t supposed to be on the bus. I hear that from my patients every day. I’m extremely embarrassed about it,” she admitted.

The actors were all good sports about the situation and returned to set to work more on the movie. The sequel will be out sometime in 2016.
